Most of HAI is too cheap to go to the track... They'd rather spend their money on ricing out their cars, gambling, alcohol / bar sluts, $7 ramen noodles (aka Pho), and strippers / hookers. NASA is having an event at La Junta on June 10th and 11th, and another event at Pueblo (PMI) on July 23rd. I'm planning to be competing in Time Trials at the Pueblo event, and hopefully the La Junta event as well... I expect that Chris_Venturini and possibly others will be out there too, so I'll bring a tow rope... :D

I'll be attending more events this year. I'm tired of wasting my money on alcohol.

With good financial planning, I can do both

Seriously though, I'll probably hit those events up if my car's ready. I've been looking into road racing and track events lately, because autocross (while I haven't gone yet) looks kinda boring, and drift events are fun but not really a serious form of 'racing'.

Hey now, I only destroyed my tires, cracked my turbo manifold, threw off my alignment, and bent up my valves... oh, and that minor issue of bolts falling out. I just need to rebuild/replace my cylinder head and either find a pair of Kumho V710's, or mount my Azenis and run in a lower class...

Didn't you end up in a ditch on the way home? :D

yeah, but i was in a touge run against the local drift lord in a snow battle royale. I was racing for my honor because he made a comment about how Il'l never be as good of a drifter as my dad and will always be racing in his shadow. Just as i crossed the finish line to beat him he rammed me off the road into a ditch and my eybrows twitched like crazy for hours out of horror!!!!!11!!!!...errr at least thats how i remember it.

I'll be at the PMI events since I'll be living in Pueblo this summer. Just gotta get some reliability mods done first and some new tires.

and until i have a car that's capable of tracking ( automatic v6 fwd accord isn't too nimble), i shall continue on with my gambling, alcohol, lounging and buffet runs. :D

And Yes, but no need for gravy since it's so damn juicy and lip smacking good.

i like how a thread that makes fun of how HAI just goes to restauraunts and doesnt actually participate in any car events goes off topic to which restaurant to go to.

Seriously though, I was just kinda curious. Nothing wrong with hangin out.. plus if everyone cruised up to Blackhawk on the 6, that'd be a pretty neat drive (at legal speeds )

If you didn't waste your money on that crap, you could waste it on getting a car that you can take to the track...

If you didn't waste your money on that crap, you could waste it on getting a car that you can take to the track...true, but while one is unemployeed, he takes the simple pleasures in life. can't think about going to the track when i don't have a steady income. Now with this job, i finally got some breathing room, and i can think about swapping the accord for something else
