ive searched around but haven't found a straight answer. Would a HF (d15b6 I believe) bottom end, fit with a d16a6 head? Reason being, afriend of mine bought a crx hf,but dosent want to swap motors, and is looking for a bit of performance. Thanks!

yes it will fit fine, its a d series. Is it worth it? probably not. you can find a whole Si swap for like $150-$200...

ok...ive been told that the HF motor has 8 valve reliefs, where the 16 head has 16, so it dosen't fit....
If it were up to me, Id swap in a complete a6 motor, tranny etc...but its not mine.

well its not the amount of valve reliefs, its the amount of valves . anyways a 16 valve head will bolt right on.

The HF pistons have 2 valve reliefs per piston and the a6 head has four valves per cylinder. That means two too many valves and pistons and valves sharing the same space at the same time.

^ thats exactly what Ive been told...and that will make it not work.
Where as others have said it will work. Is there any solid evidence on this?
