Does Iran even have any significant supporters? I can't think of any, and none of their bordering countries are going to be of much help to them, especially since we own two of them.

Ummmm..... how long has Iran said they were going to...... "cleanse" Palestine?

Those recent videos that came out from Iran showing their capabilities & development of various weapons (not including WMD so far) looked as if they were created in the 60's (spoof IOW).

I'm calling B.S!

iran has plenty of us aircraft in it's inventory: F-14's and F-4's to name a few...you can say both are old but the weapons systems on the F-14 are still very capable...they also have a pretty good air defense system that won't be as easy to destroy as iraq's was...not that it would be fun but it'll get real "interesting" if we go over there, too....

considering the Israelies have more than enough balls to be shooting missles over the border to palestein when they feel it's necessary, telling them they're gonna be 'anhillated' after just announcing nuclear enrichment sounds like some universal fighting words. I wouldn't be suprised if the Israelies actually would send a couple nukes to Iran - those guys dont fuck around which I think is the right way to deal with the whole middle eastern mindset. Basically the ignorant absolute minded cavemen have just been given the opportunity to make a nuclear weapon, and look at their claims now - they're now the big dogs on the street whom want to push everybody around now. I don't doubt the US having a copule nukes already ready to fire onto Iran.

It really shows how unworthy those people are of technology, they get a big gun now and they're the new thug on the street that is the shit and is looking to make their first kill. What's worse is they can so easily justify killing people in the name of God.

But then again - you have the us - hey let's police and liberate the world!
(now people are starting to realize that is a function that the US cannot do)

the article doesn't say why the Iran president was lashing out but basically:

"The existence of this (Israeli) regime is a permanent threat" to the Middle East, he added. "Its existence has harmed the dignity of Islamic nations."
