I have a 92 honda civic hatchback si and am looking to upgrade my air intake..right now it's a (couldn't find the brand name..probably ebay) short cold air intake. The problem is the filter..it's letting a ton of dirt/debree into the throttle body, which, i'm going to have to clean..
anyways i was looking into buying a new cold air intake..i want the added hp that the aem v2 gives out..but at the same time i'm not sure if i want to spend 250+ on a part i might be getting rid of eventually anyways (if i decide to put a turbo in).
My question is, what brand/model would give me the best bang for my buck? I want something that'll put out a lot of performance..any sugguestions?

IMO intakes aren't worth the money. I think you'd be better of to just keep your current intake and find a way to stop all the dirt from getting to the filter.

Bang and Buck and Altitude and Cold Air Intake don't go well at all.

You won't notice the difference... between any of them.

By the way, if you want a good filter for a decent price, get a K&N.

cold air intakes are just a pipe. one wont be better than the other. as for the dirty throttle body that might be normal. they get dirty every now and then even with good filters, you just need to buy a can of throttle body/carb cleaner.

^ caused by blow-by.. but if it's a TON, you might have a ring/seal going bad. :(

If you ever want to turbo your car, don't spend a dime on anything but the turbo stuff. It's not even worth it to buy something for "a little performance to hold you over" until you get the turbo. It's really not.

if you really aren't going to go with a turbo, i would recommend the passwordJDM whale penis.

tha password intake is a knock off of a J's Racing intake. it'll fit.

P.S.
