Ok so from my other threads you guys know I have installed a Skunk2 IM & TB. Into a JDM B16A in a 93 Del Sol Si I also added a BDL oversized fuel rail cause the stock would not fir the IM. So after everything I got it to idle 2200 instead of 3000. When I give it any gas it stinks of fuel and starts to surge a ton. Here is what I have done:

Check and Replace all vacuum lines they are in the same spots as before.
TImming is good
Set TPS to .467 volts closed
MAde sure the TB is fully closed during idle
reset ECU a ton of times
I have a CEL with the jumper but it does not blink so no code
Idle screw on the TB does nothing
Replaced a injector that I busted

Ok so now I am completely lost I have no idea of what to check next. WHen I start it it will go to 1500 for a sec then jump up to 2500. Then if I give it any gas it will drop to 1500 then jumps back up to 2500 over over again surging.

Well I am totaly frustrated I started this project that was supposed to be a bolt on Sunday and I am still working on it. ANY AND ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED PLEASE HELP!!! If I cant get it tomorrow night then it goes to PFI I hate to take my car to shops cause I love to do it myself but I feel defeated!!

Did you use a new TB gasket? DId you check it to make sure it lined up properly?

No fuel Leaks and yes the TB came with a new gasket and it all lines up there is an extra hole that is in it but the new IM matches up with it as well. The fuel rail I bought was a BDL and I had to tap a hole for the Pressure regulator because there was 2 does this sound right?

Once its warm try unplugging the IACV (while the car is running) and see what it does...

HONESTLY, at this point just put your stock one back on for now, you really don't need a TB that big yet, you still have it and at the same time

i'm betting some person on ebay i've seen them, you could dremel it to fit but that means it has to come back off, you gotta love the headaches at this time of year, i've got quite a few myself

JDM in stock through ebay Skunk2 knows of them and said that they were having issues. I dont really want to dremel it thats an extra 4mm to take off. I called the company and he assures me that I dont have to port out my brand new IM he refered me to another # of a guy that knows whats going on so we shall see.

The guy advertised it as a direct bolt on. Do you think I can get him to switch me out another TB or perhaps even a refund if I have to port the IM?

If he describes it as a bolt-on and it doesn't work, then definitely. Did you pay by Paypal?

Well I got it running lol the Saga ends thank gawd! Thank you to everyone that helped me out on here without the help I would have been fooked, I really do appreciate it!!

The PCV valve between the breather chamber and the top of the IM was busted. The only I found it when I was tearing everything back out and I could hear it rattle quiet a bit. Also cleaning the screen on the rear IAC was a big help.

It idles right around 1400 which is still high but its steady and its not at 2500 lol! I am sure I can get that down with a timming and replacing that valve. But I am very happy with the results the low end RPMS pull alot stonger and the TB is so much more responsive. Once again thank you everyone!!

Thanks, I am so glad I didnt have to take it to a shop I hate to know that I didnt do ALL the work on my car just a thing with me.

Mario, the B is great man I love it I treat that thing better than anything I have right now she's my focus. That and I want to get as much done to her before I get married lol. The Skunk2 IM and TB are awsome besides the headaches they are great upgrades in my eyes.

How is my lil D-series treating you? Good I hope I tried my best to take good care of that motor.

That's great to hear man, I'm glad it's working out for ya. :)

The D is great. I will be keeping it stock. I am going to drop the motor this summer, completely clean the engine bay, clean and paint the engine/tranny (silver, to look new), and going to do a full wire tuck on it as well. Right now I am just restoring all the missing pieces on my car and making it solid. :)

that wire tucking looks amazing i would love to have that kind of time to pull that off in the sol

I am scared of the wire tuck cause if I do it I want to relocate alot of the stuff to inside the fenders. If something goes wrong its gonna suck to work on afterwards. Although I have still been considering it lol!!

Almost a month away till my personal doomsday lol! Are you ready to take some pics Mario lol?!
