..........solidly in the 13s at the Street Machine Showdown today.
Still just running 16psi but on the 18g now and ran........
1st run 14.1@99 I had run quicker with the 16g but I added almost 3mph to my trap speed.
2nd run 13.90@99mph Yay,hit a 13 and was told I had to wear the helmet.
3rd run 13.78@98mph This was actually during eliminations on a 13.89 dial and I won since the other guy broke out by 4 tenths. :)
4th run 13.79@98mph I jumped the light and handed the race over.:( But I was consistent.
Overall I was happy with how the car ran and can't wait to turn up the boost, hopefully I have a solid very low 13 in the car,we'll see soon.
Paul - solid low 13s are IN THE BAG. 16psi is barely working the motor. 18psi is where it starts waking up, 20psi is where it's really starting to be fun, and 23psi is, well, 12s. Easy. :)
Congrats.

My friend also hit a best of 15.51 on his stock '91 Eclipse GSX. Well almost stock,we removed the sleeve inside the boost control selonoid. This mod up the boost about 2psi and only takes about a minute.

yeah that really helped him out, 15.5 stock was pretty impressive
he still had the factory air filter in!
I think the sugar in all the donuts i ate for breakfast made me more excited then 6 fat chicks at a Ricky Martin concert. I too red lighted in round 2 with a .492 light and gave the run away to a teal civic.....whose passenger seat cocksucker friend was running his fat mouth in the staging lanes. I sure showed him......not.

Hey Paul-
I forgot to ask what kind of 60' you were getting? Just curious. Also, if you don't mind, can you describe how you launch your car?
Thanks

Vern,my previous best was a 13.99@96mph with my 16g@16psi but I had only hit that once, mostly I was in the 14 flat to 14.1 range.
davidm_sh - My best 60' yesterday was only a 1.906 but my best ever was a 1.81 so I know I can shave off a little more of my 1/4 with a better launch.
My launching technique is pretty simple but it takes practice to launch consistently. I hold my rpms right about 6k and as the last yellow lights up I ease the clutch off the floor till I feel the car start to inch forward and then I quickly relase and feed the throttle together but I don't just dump it. I get very little clutch slippage from my ACT 2600 but just enough to reduce the shock on the tranny and yesterday after getting back in the pits I couldn't even smell clutch under the hood and that is very good.:)

Newt2 might be going tomorrow to get in some practice before Friday's club clash. I'm gonna pass since I think my car is ready for Friday. On Sunday my last two runs were only a thousandth of a second apart.
