I started the day off with a 14.401@94.94 This beats my best bandimere time by 1/10th-14.5. Whoohoo new best at altitude!!

Next run was a 14.42@95.14 Well, its consistent at least

Run 3:
14.345@95.54 another new best!

Run 4:
14.535@95.14 60' was way off, this was in the slicker left lane

Run 5 (Dialed 14.30):
14.323@95.34 New best yet again!

Run 6 (Dialed 14.20)
14.296@95.54 Yet another new best

Run 7 (Dialed 14.20):
14.445@95.74 Again, I was in the slicker left lane, I won this round by .021 and it was hard!! I raced a guy on a Katana, he is a very good bracket racer, and I didn't think I was gonna pull it off.

Run 8 (Dialed 14.20, only 3 cars left):
14.179@94.74 on the brakes!! I was racing an old Iroc camaro running 15.8's I was way ahead at the end, so in the interest of the $240 up for grabs I got on the brakes to try and avoid breaking out, still broke out, got 3rd place and a new BEST! I can only imagine if I hadn't been on the brakes at the end!

I will be going back, and I will be trying to a 13!

We have lots of video, so I'll try to get it up over the next few days, it will take a while though. Oh, the final round of the brackets for street came down to an Eagle Talon TSI and that IROC. Not sure who won, but the winner got $240, 2nd place $120, 3rd place (me) nothing. Oh, and the Talon got 2 "by" runs in 4 rounds, how fair is that?

There are some good ones stories to go with all this as well, they are much better told in person :)
Thanks to JDawgX for being Film Bitch all day!

John, you should go out. You'd be faster thank 90% of the Pro ET guys!

This track is like douglas, he's a brake down of cars:
4 Grand Prix's
Henry's '00 Stang GT
Clarks '96 Formula
Todd's LT1 Camaro
A Talon TSI (who I smoked)
Two integra's (one off of here)
A gutted hatch spraying
'86 Iroc Camaro

Everything else was pre '90, mostly pre 1980 muscle cars. Its a LOT like Douglas if you ever go up there.

oh maybe we should take a trip down there to check it out. Sounds like a fast track. Is it pretty decent?

The track itself, as far as traction goes is decent, not bad, not to crowded either. I got 4 runs, and 4 bracket runs. thats wit 3 complete oil down/cleanups of the track, and one medical emergency. I'm sure I could have gotten 3-4 more runs without all that.

The rest of the area, well, its pretty sparse. Overall, not bad though.

Drive was fun, we shot some video for later use. Only 3.5 hours too.

I think we are gonna come up on a Friday (14th, or 28th) race the Friday night, stay over and race saturday. At least I'm going to.

Nice job chris!

I ended up leaving early so i didn't get to see your last run, which ended up being your best of the day.

The people that run the track are extremely nice. I only got 2 runs in because of the 3 blown engines, so they called me up to the tower and they gave me my 25$ back. you cant beat that.

well it was my first time at the track and i only got two runs in so I didn't do all that good. I know i could have done better if i had a few more chances. here are my runs:

1st
18.245@77.19
2nd
17.829@78.26

as you can see i must have been sleeping on the first run, I don't even remember watching the lights.

Chris, keep us posted. I'd like to see what you run next time you go down. hope you get in the 13's.

Did you all get to see any f the rice down here?

I actually sat and watched some kid in autozones parking lot "installing" a clamp on exaust tip on sunday. He then has his friend start 'er up and bounce the motor off the rev limiter a few times. Then they stand there and talk abot how good it sounds  ... still sounded like a stock civic. I swear everyone in the area was looking a the like they were retarded:smashfrea

The car was white, complete with blue molding and a blue gas door;gay;

Why did they have to make that movie?????????

I've really got to get a digicamera.
