bye bye 1.8t jetta, gti, and A4

I was coming home from picking up my dad's fuel cell for the camaro when a bunch of vw's flew past me on Academy. I caught up at the light and there was a New silver 1.8t jetta, a 1.8t gti, and a black A4 that was debadged and had a spoiler. The light changed and they all three took off. I floored it from behind and got on the A4's ass. He moved in behind the GTI and I proceeded to lay the smack down. The jetta clearly had a BOV or something because it seemed much louder than it should have been, he had exhaust as well, but I have no idea if he had anything else. I ran them a couple times and let off after the two thee shift each time with a car or so. I wanted to go after the A4 again, but he was driving like an ass. It would have been one of those race me from 100 types of things, and i'm not down for that crap on the street. I wanted to talk to the guys but they wouldn't look over at me, and they all turned off.....ohhh well. All in all it was a good time....

dude I think I just raced that A4 you wre talking about. iwas on union. we took off from a roll at austin bluffs. he got on it first, when I heard him I got on it and pulled HARD. I had Christina and Isaiah in my car too. I gave him a thumbs up before he turned. It at least had exhaust because i could hear it.........was it black no badges and the spoiler stuck up a little bit?

On another note I ran that H22 accord with Td an Isaiah in my car on the way home from dinner. he came up on me with momentum. So I drop it to second get some wheel spin, never had that happen before.:confused: Isaiah was even suprised. When I got traction I pulled even and shifted to 3rd and was pulling easy, but had to slow down because we were coming up on traffic. Needless to say it would be no match if we went from an even start.........:)

The jetta and GTI both had 1.8t badging on the back which I think is only on the 02's and newer right? The A4 I have no idea, it was probably about the same as ryan's??? Those cars have a lot of potential, I can't wait to see yours with some mods :)

1.8t badges only came on 02 gti's but I think the 01 jettas gls got the 1.8t badge cause it was upgrade from the base 2.0 engine.

The jetta was slower than the GTI so maybe it wasn't a 02. I would either attribute it to that, or the fact that the jetta's are heavier than the GTI's. I think you are right though because I recall seeing the Jetta's with a 1.8t badge back in 00 or 01 when I was looking at them.

I see that A4 around all the time. I am not sure what year it is, but it looks similar to Ryan's car. Maybe not a s new as Ryan's though. Pretty good looking car though.......
