Many of you have come to the CSMA Bandimere Track Day in previous years, and I think most of you have found it to be an obscenely good time.

This year, it's scheduled for May 10th, all day. Standard T&T rules apply, but you can run as many times as your heart desires between 8 AM and 3:30 PM. We're limited to 60 cars, so you do the math - you can get in a dozen runs without trying hard or hot-lapping. Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday and $80.

Damn - I used to get in 3, maybe 4 runs on a T&T night. All of those monster 18 second cars breaking down after the launch always put a damper on the night(s)...

TnTs used to be a casual race night and I'd see over 10 runs a night and I didn't have to hot lap it either.

Might be $80 now, but you'll be getting cash back at the gate. Why? Because of sponsorship. We had a large sponsor sign up today which means cash back for all racers. Until I have the total number of racers and total number of sponsorship at the end, I can't determine the exact cost for each racer. Right now its priced with no sponsorship ($80) but the more sponsors we get, the more you will get back. Hope that makes sense. Since others have already paid, I wasn't sure how to give back to the racers so this is the only way I know of. With today's sponsor alone, you'll be getting back $10 if we have 80 racers or $20 back if we have 40 racers. It was either cash back, food or charity and I think everyone would welcome the cash back idea.

Oh, and over 35 runs is easy to get on track day. No staging lines.

Last year I was able to get over 40 runs on one regular test and tune. It looked like it was going to rain, and it didn't. When I showed up only 4 people were in line. When they opened the gates, there were something like 14 people.

They ended up with a little over 30 racers total.


I've done the day test and tunes, but I'll be damned if I haven't broken my car at every single one I've ever attended, and that includes a CSMA day.

I wouldn't go to another day test even if it was free! LOL.
