why does my car idle at 2 rpm when i first start it up in the morning..... didnt do this before

I didn't know the rpm gauges went that low? Mine starts at 500. I think you forgot the last 3 0's? Maybe 2000 rpm? If so that's the car in it's warm up stage. Should start to drop as the car gets warmer.

umm I think it's called "fast idle" it's when you start your car the RPM's go up to 2k or more and stay there until the engine is warm and then goes to 750-900 RPM.

its prob. the idle air controler (iacv) or fast idle thermo valve
both of those control idle apon startup try and take your iacv off and clean it the valve tends to stick
