Well i'm thinking about doing it to my 2000 civic Si. and was wondering what all i needed, besides the projector and the lighting parts in general. ( i already have an HID kit) I did a little reading about it on HT, but couldnt really find anything specific to civic headlights. most were about integra and so forth. and last i was wondering what car you got the projectors from, i was looking a some E46 M3's and acura TSX ones. thanks, Sean

i have some bi-xenon e55's from a mercedes/bmw. your kit prob wont work because its for H4 and you will need d2s bulbs. also i would suggest & wiring harness so you dont fry your stock one. oh and please dont get ricer 8k-10k bulbs

whats the difference in the k rating? i know its the color, but is 8-10k blue, and 4-6 is white or what?

any chance you could send me some pics of your projectors? i would like to do this to mine someday.

the higher the kelvin the more blue/purple the color gets but also the actual brigness goes down the optimal is 4.3k-5k which is the most white. what people dont understand is even if you have 4k bulbs the cutoff will still be blue. with a reflector hid kit like a pnp one you wont get a cutoff.

Yea I had seen one where they used E55 projectors, looked pretty good. I have 8k but they white.. look more like 6k then 8. How long did it take you to do the conversion? sorry about all the questions, just trying to get a feel for what I'll be working with :)

I was looking on eaby at E55 projectors, they're pretty expensive lol. beside the projectors what else am i going to need?

velocity

either buy or make shroud/bezels. a dremel to cut up your headlights. bolts to fasten the projectors. bulbs, ballast, 10 gauge wire to make wiring harness, 2 inline fuses, male/female spade connectors. if you think the e55s are expensive dont bother loking at s2000, tl or tsx projectors. they are considered the best & the projectors alone cost more than my whole setup.

lol Yea i saw the S2000 ones. Very Very expensive, heard they are/were the best out there. also heard the new lexus gs430's are just as good if not better. Was looking at a set of Audi A6 projectors. but it says they're dot beams, and im not 100% sure what that is?

dot & ece beams just refer to the way the cutoff are. usually the ece are more clear or nicer.

Those retrofits are killer Velocity. Would you be interested in doing some on my 5th gen Prelude? I've always wanted to do the HID prjector retrofit on my car but I really don't trust my craftsmanship skills.

yeah velocity, would you do it on a 95 dc2 with angel eyes(halos)?

velocity

i maybe able to do them but you have to take into consideration a few things. its one thing to do things to your own car because if you do it & it sucks then there's only one person to blame which is yourself. i could do it for you guys but each headlight is different along with projector sizes. you guys would have to supply the projectors/headlights/shrouds and other things you would want. if you guys can supply those then the next issue would be labor.
