I have a 1997 Prelude. It started off when my car overheated. The radiator was very low on coolent so I filling up the radiator with antifreeze. As time went on, the coolent began to run out faster and faster. Now I have to fill it up every week.

Then now it is very hard to start the car, and a lot of white smoke it coming out of my exhaust. I checked the spark plugs and they were wet. I replaced them, and the car started right up. White smoke is still coming out of the exhaust ( a lot of white smoke ). I drove the car around for about 5 minutes until the white smoke wasn't so intense, but then everytime I let the car sit for a while the plugs keep getting wet and the car has a very hard time starting again.

I replaced the Radiator, radiator cap, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition distributer, and starter (I blew the starter trying to start the car so much). The car runs a lot better now (When I can start the car), but I still have white smoke, hard starts (2-5minutes), coolent is still running out.

I've been reading and a lot of threads say that this could be the head gasket? What do you guys think?

That's what I am leading towards. Is there anyone that know's how to replace a head gasket for my H22a4? What will it cost me for the labor? I have the manual for my car printed out, I just need to do it now. Please get back to me.

$80 with a stock Headgasket if you do it yourself. 400-600 for someone else to do it. If you don't know what you are doing, don't do it.

I've taken off the head, and the head gasket was all ***** up. The oil in my head is creamy because of the coolent. How should I clean my head? Should I take it in to get it checked out to make sure it's not warped or anything before I reassemble?

Alright, I finished. I put in a new head gasket and new gaskets all around. I changed the Timing Belt also. My knock sensor broke so I ended up spending more money on the sensor than the headgasket set.

There is a sound coming from my belts that I don't know whats wrong. The car runs very good, no coolent is leaking at all. But the there is a little zip noise coming from the belts as it is running. Anyone have any ideas?
