Hey guys...I just bought a catback for my LS swapped hatch, and I was wondering what kinds (GSR testpipe to be exact) of either test pipes or catalytic converters will work?
BTW...it's an LS Exhaust manifold if that is relevant at all.

I didnt get a CEL and I have no cat.
I think only OBD-II cars get a CEL.

I am asking which one will fit up to my setup. Would an SI...GSR...LS?

as long as you have the o2 sensor plugged in right matt? I'm getting a cel but from the safc.
I know the header for the b16 is longer down at the bottom than the gsr header...I dont know about the ls though. I'd think that you need the ls cat.

Your question is for honda tech.
If Nate sees your question he can probably answer you.

I believe so.
hey john, the easiest way to do it is just to measure the gap, then go online and find one that is the right size. thats what i had to do with the civic, because when i looked up ones for the specific body, it turned out that the ones they offered were .5" to 1.5" too long or short.
i just found out what size i needed then looked online for one with the right flanges. if i remember right mine turned out needed to be 16.5" with a three bolt flange on one side, and a two bolt on the other.

so if you have a bung for the 02 sensor, you won't have a check light? i'm confused?
what about using foulers? like this. (http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=229959&st=0)

haha I just plugged my o2 sensor in and taped it to the sway bar so its not dragging on the ground...I was only throwing a cel from the safc and the obd2 but since my downpipe decided to part ways with my turbo going like 90 today it ripped my other o2 sensor out.
I've got a friend with both o2 sensors plugged into the harness but basically sitting in his engine bay and he's not throwing a cel.

on any OBD-2 (96+) car you will get a cel if you do not have a cat in your car. i dont know why matt didn't get one. do you have a chipped ecu of any sort? like mugen or spoon? they disable some functions including the O2 sensor.
in any case the GSR header is the only short one, B16 and LS are the same. and as far as i know all cats are the same length.OBD0 and OBD1 LS and B16 cats have no O2 holes in them (it mounts in the manifold), and OBD2 LS/B16 cat will have one O2 hole. an OBD1 GSR will have one O2 hole, and an OBD2 GSR will have 2 O2 holes.
make any sense?
Nope. Ran the stock ECU. The only time I started getting the CEL was when my O2 sensor took a shit on me. :(
