I wasted away a good portion of a beautiful weekend in the garage putting this on the death machine:

Yes, it was only supposed to take 2-3 hours. However, cutting on a motorcycle that is only a month old is a little nerve racking. ;) I also soldered in everything instead of using the splicers or whatever those evil things are called, and installed some "3 Way Hyper Lites" for added visibility since the stock turn signals were eliminated. Most of my time was consumed making sure I didn't cut too much off, being puzzled over the confusing readings I was getting off of the multimeter when I was figuring out which wire was which, and doing parts runs for some of the extra little details I added.
It was interesting to me that despite the motorcycle being 12vDC like a car, it didn't use the frame for grounding. (Yes, I'm a newbie. :P )
I've also added an LP Carbon Fiber hugger, and a Tape Works "Wing Shadow" kit. My red Micron slip-on sounds like it might actually be in at the end of next week.. woohoo! I have a K&N and some brighter headlight bulbs sitting around, a smoked DB windscreen & custom seat covers on order, and frame sliders on backorder.
I haven't quite decided what to do with the front signals yet, but have a couple of ideas I'm mulling over. This bike is already /MORE/ than plenty for me to handle as a new rider, so it will be awhile before I will ever need to think about other performance mods besides the K&N, and the Micron (though that's even debateable). Surely 10.82 @ 126.93 is fast enough? :)
