vw/porsche suv

vw announced the release of ther new suv recently. They have been developing it with porsche. The new porsche suv will have a more powerful engine where the vw will be more for hard core off roading. base engine is a 220hp vr6 or the v10 diesel engine with 313hp and 551 ft-lbs of tq. later vw will add a v8 and a 5 cylinder diesel. It has 11 inches of ground clearence and can be driven in water up to 23 inches. What do you think about it? Will it sell here in the US?

looks ok..but its just another overpriced yuppie assault vehicle in my opinion. Doubt we'd ever see it here in the states..

There are too many SUVs as it is. Everyone and their brother is trying to cash in on the SUV craze here in the US. With (IMHO) badly designed products. Just take a look at the Aztek, or the new one from buick. EEWWW!

I like the front, sides, and interior, but the rear looks too much like a lifted Golf. The porsche one looks kinda icky since they are using the same front bumper as the 911s.

i love suv's I have to admit. I would take an Escalde or navigator in a second......and I love diesel trucks....

Im not a big suv fan myself but I think it could do very well in the US with all the soccer moms driving around. The porsche one does look pretty nasty
