I just found that my #3 cylinder is running low pressure (110) on my REX....which is causing some issues....so I think I am finally going to get the 2.5L bottom end and start making some real power....My only question is does anyone know where I can get a STI block for fairly cheap?
Or do you all think I should go with a stroker kit....thing is I am trying to stay 'cheap' but get something that will hold up to 21-25psi and get me at around 450whp

well Looks like I am going to go with a STI closed block for my bottom end...should be able to push 25 psi easy with that....or do you all think I should go 2.3L stroker like a buddy of mine wants me to

yeah the closed deck 2.5 is looking good...but I could also just go for a full stroker kit rebuild on my 2.2L outta my 93 legacy turbo....could be fun to put that into the Rex too....

As some of you know I am in the middle of a 2.5L swap ( http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10068&start=30 (http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10068&start=30) ) and I was in the market for another turbo to fit this....so I went with a DSM company (mistake no. 1 http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/images/smiles/smile_new.gif ) and got a 47trim turbo...it didn't fit...the housing was too large; so they sent me another inlet housing (which they said they were going to over night me; they did...but the next week) so now I have this new housing and it still doesn't fit...the inlet points down and toward the TGV's http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif so I cut all ties with them and am going with PE1818...just thought I would share my experience...YE BE WARNED http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/images/smiles/shake.gif
Here's some pics with the 47 trim and a 20G (Thanks Harvey for all the help http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/images/smiles/smile_new.gif )

it's still slow. Pe1820, fmic, injectors, tuned to 19psi. That's all. Nothing special...yet.

That doesn't sound slow to me...you should go 25 psi for Bandi once or twice :)
