Yep, got beat too. We ran from about 60 to 90mph and he pulled abou a carlength on me. He said he ran a 14.8 at Badimere in it, I think it may have another tenth or two with a better launch. Pretty quick little VW, the last chipped one I raced I beat.

ok, the guy is on costreetracing.com and he posted about it and it sounded like your car. He has only a chip, exhaust, and intake. considering his mods he is running good times at this altitude.
How many psi is your supercharger pushing right now? is it still 6?

a 1.8T with exhaust, intake, and a chip, can run 14's up here? Damn...I see a VW in my future!

apperently so. Hopefully there will be some more 14's this summer, me included after I get some stock times.

I raced one with a chip a long time ago, that thing had TONS of midrange and pulled a car and a half instantly on me in 3 rolling races. He then hit a wall(not literally) and could not pull any further as I gained a few inches back.

My friend keeps up with me in his stock VR6. He's probably a few 10ths of a second faster, at least for now.

I'm on the stock pulley still. Don't know if I want to go to 8psi or just use a wet 30 shot for the strip and leave it at 5.5 for daily driving.

If I were you, I would go with the wet 30 shot. I on the other hand will probably go with a dry 25 shot and 8 PSI and hope my D16 will handle 230+ at the flywheel.

I haven't decided yet. If I up the boost, I'll have to get Zips EBL so I can keep it at 5psi daily and up it when I need to.

you won't have to, but it'll be a good choice

If I don't get my Evo VII, I'm definitely considering a 1.8T:D
