I'm trying to weigh out the possibilities here since I have to get rid of the LGT.
I'm currently looking for an E36 (98-99) M3, which should offer up a straight trade for my LGT pending mileage.
I have also been thinking in the back of my mind of a 90-92 Supra Turbo 5spd.
The M3 has the fit & finish... while the Supra offers lower price and more than likely cheaper modification!
Which would you choose and why? Ease of uprgrading the boost? Looks, price savings which would equal out to more modifications?
Which one would handle better on the street and offer up more power (torque) for the money put down?
Choose & esplain maing!

Those supras are usually piles. They are heavy, have that atrocious red interior, and lots of headgasket problems. If you want a supra, get the good one. Otherwise get the bimmer.

M3. Getting rid of the legacy for that gen supra would be a major downgrade

^^I'm not a fan of convertibles.
Okay... so that settles that!
If I can't find one this weekend, Dave said it was cool to head up to Castle Rock and check his out!
It's either that... or sell the LGT and wait... impatiently, building funds for an E46 (2002-2004).. which are already very expensive to mod!

Yep.... I see the light now!
I just met up with Dave & Conrad a little while ago and even though Dave didn't bring his M3, I was able to check out Conrad's new Si... which is pretty damn nice!
I'm thinking I'll more than likely be sold on the M3...... in the event that ever F*ing find one!

I think it just kinda depends on mods. I'm sure the M series will be great for the track and respond well to mods, but if your gonna be doing a lot of engine work... You'll definately wish you bought the supra T after looking back lol. but then again a built engine and boosted M would be something rare and veyr fast :)

I'm not looking to get crazy, cause I'll get into trouble!
There's an affordable turbo kit for the E36 that puts at around 340RWTQ, which is more than enough (over-board) for my capabilities behind the wheel! I'm looking to get some track time this year and thus forth.
I was going to go with a G35... but I finally went down to Infinity to test fit one and not only is the price tag a slightly scary sight.... but the inside was cramped as all get out! That is teh suxx0r!

we should talk to pang and see what he can come up with. :D i'm hoping to pick up a e36 M this summer too.

Technique Tuning. It's just under 7k$ for a complete kit, with an impressive dyno chart to back it! Not a bad price!

you might want to check bimmer forums if you just want to look at one... there are a lot of E36 owners on there...

^^Yep, Dave!
He's already said I could come up to Castle Rock and check it out!
I plan to do so this weekend if I haven't found one to trade the LGT in on! Since it's back to stock now! *cuss-words for loss of torque!*
On that Technique Tuning turbo kit.... with the sale of all these damn parts from the Legacy.... I'm damn near there!

Those are two completely different cars. I'd say get the M3 but I'm a little biased. :)

yeah Supras are the shit, I will not lie, but they are dyno queens...my friends Supra dynoe'd at 628RWHP and ran a 13.0@either 129 or 139, also another friend had an 89 Turbo (7MGTE) and blew 3 headgaskets within 2 months of owning it

fuck supras.... they are just dyno queens.... only car you can see with 1200HP and still run 12sonly reason you'll really see a dyno queen of any car type is probably because the owner is too broke after all the engine work to afford adequate suspension and wheel setup to get the power to the ground :)

I'd go with the M3. It's a better track car.
M3 Bitches, and to piss off Steve & Dave i like the "purple" ones :)

Due to certain events that have un-folded within the past week, I've decided to buy a "work" truck.
Even though I'm getting a nice check back from the dealership from trade of the LGT.... I'm still going to wait for the M3.
I'm going for E46 BTW..... which means I've got some catching up to do. BUT.... these "events" should prove to be rather lucrative in the near future! W00T!

The guy I'm going into business with is thinking about getting a bigger truck for the business.
If he does..... I won't have to wait very long... cause I'll sell this truck and either get the E36 (I love Escargot) or an E46 with small financing!
We'll see!
