Damn! That sucks.
actually thats probably a good thing. this will allow other people to open up import businesses and bring possibly more rare JDM cars into the states.

The US Department of Transportation has offically rescinded importation eligibility for both the R32 and R34 Skylines, only 96-98 R33 Skylines are still eligible to be imported.that doesn't make any sense. it was a known fact that they used crash info from the r32 and passed it off for r32, r33 and r34.
What does one company not paying their lease have to do with the legality of a specific car? If Verizon didn't pay taxes they wouldn't make cell phones illegal.

I've heard of people using Maxima VIN's too. You might be able to get through the border from Canada (eh?) and then register it here after it was registered there. R32's are cheap up there. When will the US wise up and lower the age limit for cars to be imported from 25 to 10 or 8 like other countries.

When the average age of cars in the US is as young as the average age in other countries.
The average age of cars on the road here is what, 10-12 years old?
Why bother importing your dream car if you can't even insure it? Sounds pretty dumb to me.
