Well I have a little over 800 miles on the si now. And these are my biased thoughts.

The performance of the new SI is lightyears beyond previous models including the ep3s. Dont get me wrong the pull feels good, but it leaves a lot to be desired. There was a huge difference bringing it up to 6K feet compared to the 1200 that I bought it at. Definitely can't wait to boost it. The handling is definitely the best of any car I have ever owned. I would easily put it up there with evo and sti on hugging the turns. Acceleration through turns is greatly improved by the LSD. Never drivin a FWD with one and I could greatly feel the improvement. Comfort is good zooming around town but not so much for a 10 hour drive. Stock stereo was fairly nice. The split dash has really grown on me. I didnt like it at first but damn is it easier to be driving and not have to glance down to see how fast your going is nice. Its always in your lower perefrial (ms) vision. Will post pics and other thoughts later.

Nice!

Wish I could have made it to PMI last weekend.... damnit!

In any case.... how's about some Hooters for a mini-meet?

I missed a silver 99 M3 w/ 60k on it by about 24hrs! Time to hit the drawing board again!

No decided not to get navi because it wont play DVDs... You can get an aftermarket one installed that will for less!

Yeah we can meet up I would like to see what it would do...

I say increase your looking scope for the car you want.... And try for a 00. I think e46>e36...

You can go 1000 miles in a weekend pretty easy.

Yeah lets meet up for food some night this week. I like OC's happy hour and big buck hunter FTW!!!!

I would go for an E46.... but dayum they're pricey! I'm looking to do a straight trade (or damn close) for the LGT.

This way, I still don't have a car payment and the money from all the LGT parts I sold can go towards the M3 (98-99).

Active AutoWerke has quite a few options for the M!

Is the ///M gonna be your daily driver? I'd recommend getting a cheap car to drive in the winter time. Just makes it that much easier and you can keep the M3 in much better condition.

^^A 4x4 beat-up truck FTW!

The M would be a weekend/fun/project car! Unless I can find something else that fits my tastes! Like a Supra!

I recently puchased an '06 Si and I have to say it handles 10 times better than previous models, not to mention the 6-speed gives the car a much better feel through the gears.

The only complaint that I have is that the driver side A-pillar gets in your field of vision during left turns, other than that it's a fantastic car.

BTW....... I know where there is a 99 M3 w/ 76K on the ticker for $22K, he is near Denver and seemed negotiable on the price when I spoke with him.

Don't worry about Conrad... Even with the new 200hp Si he's still slow. :D

That thing sure is coosh though!

Sat in it last night! Honda's on the ball! Hooked it up with telescoping steering wheel and enough head room for my super-sized azz!

It's definately a nice ride for the money!

I said e46 dont make me repost this magilla!i'd hold off on the e46's for now since the e90 M should be introduced very soon. I've already noticed the e46's price dropping aboud 4-6g's since the e90 sedans were introduced last year.

Aren't the E90's going to have the V8?

Not what I'm looking for and while the new exterior design is kinda sexy.... it's nowhere NEAR the current M3!

I sat in one yesterday evening. A brand new competition package M3.... and I damn near lost bodily functions!

but very true about the current e46ers.
