so me and 60-1teg have been playing around with making turbo manifolds, and we semi-finished a topmount tonight and took a few pics, but i need someone to host them on here for me, any takers?

BTW 60-1teg did pretty much everything on this manifold, i cant steal the credit on this one.

well i would certainly hope so, he has been doing it for years.

BTW come talk shit when you can build something nicer.

I bet I could. ;) (just messin with ya.. kinda) I'm planning on making my own here before too much longer. :) Top mount FTW!

I guess nothing really.. heh. Where'd you pick up your bends from?

whats the benefit of a top mount? just clearence issues?

It's easier to jam peoples hands into the compressor. :D

pimpness (*hides horrible, horrible homemade log manifold with slag and wire sticking out of the beads*)

ability to run a bigger downpipe (up to 4"), and i think it just looks cooler

well thank you to everyone who likes it.

just FYI i do plan to start making and selling manifolds, however i am friends with pang, and out of respect for him im trying to leave the honda market for him, dont wanna step on any feet. i will be making some chevy and ford V8 turbo headers soon, and who knows what else.

So where is a good place to get mandrel bends?? I've wondered this myself.

Summit Automotive. Not to be confused with Summit Racing.

Ford v8 headers huh? Maybe this summer I can have you make my turbo manifolds

How much for Ford turbo headers?

well there is a lot of variables...
single or twin?
what WG(s)?
what flange(s)? T3, T4, or T5/6 (thumper)

and what chassis is it going into?
is it a standard port head (289, 302, 351) or a 4.6, or a big block?

make me a downpipe for hosting your pics lol jk

Terry

Single
48mm wg
t4 flange
289 = 4.6

I think I might go single, maybe a Greddy T-88. I dont know exactly what flange that is, maybe T4? Tial wastgate. The chassis is SN95 1998 GT with the 4.6 281. And I'm gunna need IC piping, with more than likely Tial bov, not for sure on that though. I'm not gunna need this stuff until summer, but I's like to know what it would cost and shit like that.

4.6 is a 281, and the modular 4.6L (96+ or 95+?) have different head flanges than the older 289/302 style heads.

what kind of 48mm WG, fo tial i usually only see upto 46mm

the T-88 can come with a thumper flange (T5/T6) but im sure you can also get a T4 flange. i'll PM you and terry some estimates later tonight

Ok cool, I dont really care what flange is it just as long as you can make it work. I'll also need a downpipe of course.
