Hatch vs. SC GSR

Well I raced a Integra GSR on 6psi of boost today a coulpe times. Off the line I pull about a car ahead and then he has to play catch up but cant get ahead of me, I was about 2-3 cars ahead :D The outcome was pretty much the same off the line when we raced the other times. From a roll he get about a 1/2-1 car ahead of me in the top of 3rd.

So I'm pretty happy that I beat a JRSC GSR :)

Also on the way home I came across a blue Mazda Miata that had to be boosted. He gets next to me and paced so I drop into 3rd and he takes off.....pretty much killed me. I try to catch up to him to see what he has but he was turning and I was going stright...but he gave me the thumbs up. So watch out for a lowerd Miata.

Was it a 1st gen M&M blue one? If so hes got a turbo kit on it. He was at GW a couple of weeks ago. He was talking to mark about his supra asking if he remembered racing one on the highway. I was kinda giving him a funny look thinking; a Single turbo MKIV vs a Miata? I said something to him and he said its a turbocharged one. They're quick little things with an FM II kit on them.

hey futuresi was it a red one with enkei rs6's(same wheels b16crxturbo has only silver) if so its turbo ive seen it around, if not hmm more fast miatas around here

you guys shoulda seen the miata that was comming off the dyno when i went to test my car..
it was like a 94-94 had holes cut out in the hood(2 places) i assume he will get bubbles put in the hood..
that THING had a ford 302 with a keane bell supercharger on top..
putting 389 hp to the ground.. it was red by the way((watch out))

what does the gsr run w/ a jrsc at this altitude? around 15 flat?
what do you run Ted?

I know that you guys with si's and Pats type r seem to run in the low 15's

The JRSC GSR @ 6psi I think run about a mid/low 15. My best run to date is 15.869.

When I ride in his car it really doesn't flow in the top end. He just has an intake and the JRSC. Stock manifold and exhaust.

I stopped by The Dealer alternative (flyin miata guys) the other day to check it out. They've got a pretty nice place. Real cool guys. Showed me their road race miata... shooting for right around 400 HP. Sweet car, wide bodied and all...

I pulled consistent 15.1's with bone stock exhaust. Then I got exhaust and upped the boost to 10 psi and ran 14's ..... He probably needs some tuning ect, but the GSR's definetly don't seem to respond as well as the si's to boost from my experience. A bunch at the track run upper 15's ....

My GSR responded to boost...though not the same kind. They must not be driving very well (though I've never driven one with an SC, so I can't say from personal experience). I was running 16.1 N/A with I-H-E so I would just assume more than a .4 cut in 1/4 time. Oh well. I guess I can't say anything til I drive one.

Yeah i'm not saying they don't take well to all kinds of boost, but from my experience the SC don't seem to perform a s well. Maybe it's teh raided outlet temps. The jackson kit for the gsr's runs the same pulley I make 10 psi on to make 6. if they turn up boost past that point it has real high outlet temps......
