Alright the last Open Track I posted was a NASA event at PPIR on May 4th and 5th and it was expensive. I was going to go do it but I am in the middle of moving so no go for me.

The next event, which I am doing, is less expensive ($90) and just as fun is a one day road track event at Pueblo on Saturday May 11th. This event is hosted by CECA, Colorado Exotic Car Association. There are exotic cars there but there are also mustangs (old and new), vettes, vipers, S2000's, Audi's and my Celica. This is an open track event so as long as your car meets the saftey requirements, and you have a worthy helmet you can run. This is fun and addictive so I suggest you try this event out.

Deadline for event sign up is May 3rd and entry limit is 60 cars. last year there was 27 cars so track time was plentiful.

Saftey requirements for the car is working seat belt, no leaking fluids, tires and brakes in good shape and a mounted fire extinguisher. The extinguisher can be a $10 Kmart special. The inspectors for CECA have the final say as to whether the car can run or not. They check only for your safety and that of others not to bust your ass.

Your helmet has to be good enough to pass the track stewart's inspection and you need to wear a long sleeved shirt and pants.

This is the proposed day schedule although is can change based on the number of cars attending.

7:00 Track opens
7:30 - 8:30 Tech inspection
8:30 - 9:00 MANDATORY drivers’ meeting

If anyone wants more saftey info and or registration info reply to this message and I will send you the info to you via email. No obligation, just wanting to tell you guys about a great way to spend a Saturday and do some fast driving.

Even if you don't participate you can always show up and watch, check out cars more expensive than my town house, and maybe catch a ride as a passenger.
