I am helping my friend rebuild his 1989 Ford Mustang. We just installed a Vortech Supercharger on a completely re-built motor w/ stroker kit. It's quite a leep from a DSM. But forced induction is forced induction? right? Any way, we are using the stock MAS sensor upstream of the super charger. Any recomendations? Ideas?
what is the problem? you ask for mustang gurus, but leave no mention of needing help with anything. if you are talking about whether or not having the MAF upstream from the supercharger is a good idea or not, then my answer is yes it is. however if you plan on not running into problems, similar to many DSM owners, you should recirculate the BOV into the subercharger
ahead of the compressor, but after the MAF, thus keeping the already once measured air in the engine.
P.S. The I is for Import :D

well you have to use it as draw through... if you want the MAF in between the blower and the intake manifold it must be calibrated for blow through.
i wanna build a 5.0 someday.... theres just something about going 10's on a stock shortblock thats appealing...

My buddy supercharged his 5.o and I dont think he did anything to the MAF. I could be wrong though, I think you do have to get it calibrated for the extra air flow. Check out Pro Performance, ask for Kirk. I'd give you the number but my phone is dead.
