I don't care what people fucking "think". Nascar is a fucking organization with different divisions. The Nextel Cup Series (prev. known as Winston Cup) is the top class, Busch Series is the next highest, and then the Craftsmen Truck Series, ALL NASCAR SANCTIONED DIVISIONS. PERIOD. Then you get into the more amateur classes such as the Featherlite Southwest Tour, etc etc. Then you have your short track series. And, actually, I know plenty about Nascar. I've been on plenty of pit crews, been to plenty of races, met plenty of drivers, helped build plenty of racecars.

Well I'm not pretending to know shit about NASCAR, because I don't. But from the matketing aspect, Toyota is the one that will reap the benefits by being the "first". If Honda were to announce it, even now, they would come off as a me-too.

Again I don't know anything about NASCAR, but I would guess the japanese cars would do pretty decent in an endurance race. Their engines last longer under normal usage than domestics, so it would seem to me that they would hold up pretty well for 5,000,000,000 laps or whatever it is they do... :D

I'm surpised the Daytona 500 this year was such a clean race considering how competitive it was. Seems like dang near all of the field lead a lap.

Ok,let's jump ahead two years and after a lackluster performing season in '07 for Toyota they've come out of the gates in '08 and are doing quite well.

Toyota has won 3 of 9 Sprint Cup races and 6 of 10 Nationwide series races (4 in a row so far) and Kyle Busch is in 2nd (3rd in Nationwide) in the points with Hamlin at 4th and Stewart at 9th in the Sprint series.
