Hello everyone. I am wondering if it is possible to swap a h22a or even a b series into a 91 2.0 si prelude. I've looked everywhere and am starting to think it cant be done (for a reasonable price). Hasport doesn't even make mounts for it. Any help would be hella cool.

Just like you found. Anything can be done, but if you have a budget you'll just want to turbo or move into a car that is more swap friendly.

i've seen a 91 lude with a b16, i don't know what they had to do to fit it in, but i was thinking if you got a obd-0 b16 would the b20 mounts from a prelude fit. also if the lude was already mpfi it would be easier or maybe use the intake mani off the lude or use most of the stuff off the intake. but alot off it ya just don't know till you got it in front of you.

thanks guys. i've searched some more, and looks like mounts have to be fab'd...at least for h22. So it looks like i'll be boostin it. Will i need a new ex mani to boost? any experience will help.

A company used to make mounts for the 88-91 Preludes but not anymore. I used to have a 91 Si as well and the aftermarket for those cars is nil.

Whats up everyone. I've done a little bit of research and found some cool shit for all gen 3 lude owners. b series or h22a swaps are rare, the mounts available cost 600+(if u can find em) and haven't been made for quite awhile. There's a movement to get them made again but costs are still high and a minimum # of sets must be ordered. but...LSD Motorsports has turbo manifolds log and equal-length style. they can be had in mild steel or stainless steel, and ac still works. Full direct bolt in turbo kits are available too. You can check out all the developmental stages over at preludepower.com in the 3rd gen section. Prices are reasonable, and probably the only decent bolt in mani available. Hope this helps any gen-3 owners looking here, as the aftermarket for gen-3's definently suck.

Well in theory you should be able to bolt a vtec head on it..It is after all a B20a Motor.
It would probabaly be just like an ls/vtec setup..
just a thought..
