When I first picked up my 99 Integra GSR, I purchased a full setup.. among those mods was my first power mod. I 2040w wet nitrous kit from N.O.S. I was using the 75shot jets at the time.

I was on my way to work one morning, kinda early. I think it was a holiday, cause there was no traffic on Santa Monica blvd. I had pulled up to a light next to a phat ole church. Next thing I know I see this silver 97-98 M3 roll up next to me, and ..... he revvs!

I looked over to see a middle aged guy like me smiling and looking forward at the light... I reached down and opened the bottle with the remote opener, and armed the solinoids. (gratuitus big red toggle switch).

Light went green and i launched at 3k. We were initially both side by side.. and by the time we crossed the intersection, I had already begun squeezing.

Right off the launch by the end of first.. I had 1/2 car on him. Second gear, and I glanced in my side mirror, seeing his front end right there knocking on the back door.

Top of second, 8k and he was 3/4 car back, I hit third at 8k and walked initially another 1/2 lenght. I noticed in the side mirror his car lurch as he shifted gears and reeled back in 1/4-1/2 a car. Pulling fourth at 8k, still on the bottle.. I pulled another 1/2 car.. and noticed him catch me a little once again...

Then we both got off the gas for the light coming up.. I wound my window down as I shut the solinoids off, and gave him a big thumbs up. As he came by he slowed down and gave me a thumbs up and a big ass shit eating grin...

I hit the remote bottle opener closed, purged the excess from the line and went to work.

I wore a smile, 10 miles wide that week... :D

Nice story!

This one was my first memorable on boost kill.

I was at the track for a club clash event. It was bracket racing and I was lined up next to a C4 vette. My dial in time was something along the lines of a 15.1 and his a 15.3. The tree started changing on my side as he left the line. I followed a fraction of a second behind and quickly made up for the lost time. By third gear I was over a car ahead of him and smiling as wide as ever. I approached the finish line and shifted to 4th. I had a good margin of space between us so I let off the gas and hit the brake so I wouldn't break out. My win light came on and I glanced over just in time to see the Corvette owner slamming his fists against the steering wheel because a lowly honda just kicked his ass :D

My first kill was all due to a shitty drive, but I think I can still call it one, from a roll at about 35, dropped to second, up until about the top of third this mustang gt only got up to my door, horrible driver in the mustang but that was probably the coolest night of my life :)

killed a f-355 2 months ago on speer. I couldn't get him to race from a light, so i just convinced him to go from a roll. he went first, but with me starting in 2nd, @5500 rpm @12 psi, he had no chance. I tryed to give the thums up, but he would'nt even roll down his window. pussy. I guess $120k just isnt enuf anymore.:fro:

hmm... Not sure what my first win was in the stock civic. I remember feeling VTEC back then and thinking it was the coolest thing, heh. Lost a lot stock tho, but the loss that turned me onto the dark side was a single pipe Audi TT. I HATED that! Then I got an intake, header, and exhaust in the winter of 2000-2001, and was still only pulling mid 18.6s at the track with one 18.2 (where I beat the KamiKazi white early '90s Accord, don't ask me how:D ) But I still lost to stock saturns, and that pissed me off, but I knew full well an SC was in my midst. Once bitten by the boost bug, all you can do is go faster. I don't feel the VTEC anymore with the SC, but I know it's still there (the feeling actually faded a bit with the addition of the header and exhaust). Hmm, now any Audi TT I see, I'm down for a race, even dual piped TTs will soon be in my reach!!:D The one race I remember boosted was the day I got it boosted... my friends from Cali had shown up for a week of vacation out here, and I had gotten my car back the day they arrived, so they're all tired from driving, and I'm all wired wanting to go play. We decide to go out, and on the way to my gf's work, we're stopped at a light with an OLDS cutlass vert 442 or some shit like that... Big car, lots of HP, and lots of weight. He revs, I follow suit. Green. Stupid me gave him a 20th of a second head start because I'm nervous as hell and thinking I'm gonna roll him anyways, and I almost did... My gas pedal is completely floored as the whine becomes oh so apparent quickly, and I'm looking at this dude giving me the thumbs down, so I give him the thumbs up right back at him. We're window to window the whole way with him just BARELY sqeaking away. I could have A) leaned the car out a bit and ran faster and beat him had I known what I was doing with the V-AFC at that point or B) not had my friends in the car adding an additional 300+ lbs. Oh so close, yet just out of reach by a couple of inches, and very memorable.
