reset srs light

I have a 96 gsr I need to reset the srs light have anyone ever done this and if its possible? please help cause my buddy he say for the 96 it might not work the way he do it with the paper clip

Has he found the correct connector? It is yellow or grey two pin at the fuse box.
Jump connector.
Turn Ign key to "ON"
wait until light goes out
remove jumper within 2 seconds
wait until light comes on
insert jumper again
wait until light goes out.
remove jumper
light will blink two times if cleared correctly
If light illuminates solid again there is still a failure and code cannot be cleared until it is repaired.
