I am looking for some one to do the timing on an Acura Integra LS. It need to be done, or what do you need to do get it done? Is it worth it to learn to do it? I am getting it in a few days and I am so stoked.

I tried to ask WTF they were talking about in the FS thread when he said the timing was off and it was wierd in second gear but they never answered. He said Tobi said it was timing on a thread when they asked what was wrong but I didn't see the thread.

All of the above! BTW, were you driving a 1st gen DSM near your shop tonight? :D

It's pretty easy to do it, but if you do it wrong then you can trash your motor. Just follow the instructions in your shop manual. If you don't have a good shop manual (like a Helms), then buy one. Alternately Tobi (AKA Honda Ghandi) has a shop in Arvada and has done some very good work for me (and I don't normally like to let other people work on my cars). His is one of the two professional shops that I have had mechanical work done at that has actually done work that I have been completely satisfied with (I'm kind of hard to please in that area).

I was up there in a Subaru earlier, my roommate was up there later in a silver 1G DSM. Did you race him? :D

Not sure if it was silver or not, but it appeared non-rice and was turbo with decent power. I had just washed the car and went out to the highway to blow the water off, and ended up giving the DSM a ricer fly-by in the process. Didn't think much of it, and wasn't looking for a race... my car's pretty un-tuned at the moment (just switched to Uberdata; A/F is too rich and ignition map is all out of whack). Well, I let off and he steps on it, so I do my usual thing of waiting until he's gaining on me and is close, then gunning it and leaving him behind. Some nasty train tracks were coming up, so I got on the brakes, and he caught up and was apparently willing to take the tracks at such speeds. I got back on it for a little bit after the tracks, but I was at low rpms in my long LS 5th gear (it sucks for anything under 130 mph), so I wasn't pulling on him much at that point. Being that I was without my V1 (just sent it in for an upgrade), I decided to call it quits before I got myself in trouble. In any case, that was definately one of the better DSM's I've seen.

If it was turbo it wasn't him, the beater 1G is a silver non-turbo 2.0 automatic. It's a total piece of shit :D

Wow, weird. I was definately turbo and not stock. I figured if anyone would have a sleeper DSM in the area, it'd be you.
