OK racers, I got the club clash packet today and I will be registering the team again under HIGH ALTITUDE IMPORTS.COM
so when you go to the track and register or if you are pre-registering, put that in the space provided for club name.
the cost to register and run club clash is $20 per racer.
The club Fee is $30 which I have already paid. If any of you feel the need to buy me food, drinks, NOS etc at the track feel free.
If you would like to pre-register e-mail Debbie Bandimere (mailto:debbie@bandimere.com) so she can send you the proper forms. You can also register at the track any time during norman business hours and at the Saturday 13th test and tune event. Thanks everyone and lets have a great season!

Tobi,
I'm in for the Club Clash.....it's too much fun to pass up. I am however, probably not going to run street import on Fri. nights. I think I'm gonna run Street E.T. instead for reasons I have stated earliar. I hope some more people are interested in running Club Clash as it's one of the best events that the track has. Just my 2 cents. Later

Vince, all of those things are fine. By electronics they mean launch boxes and things like that.

If I had a dollar for every domestic that ran slicks and no exhaust at the clubclashes..... I think those rules are very loose.

What's up Vince. This is Jake, met you last week at TB (white 4 door GSR with a RevHard kit). Welcome to the board. Good job on smoking Luke last week. 12psi is pretty impressive (to my slow ass at least).

Yeah they mean electronic driving aids. Electronic tuning devices are fine.

Excuse the novice question but what is the whole "club clash" thing all about anyway? I am just curious.

I assume it's certain ar clubs vs other car clubs. But is it set up like brackets? IE: does reaction time matter, in that, who ever crosses the line first? Or do they just look at who's time was faster?

I think I would like to try it. I mean it does sound like fun.

Thanks

It is the most fun to be had at the track. We as a club had an awesome time last year. it is Bracket racing which means you must run as close to your dial as possible. You will race against 20 second cars you will run against 10 second cars. Your reaction time does matter but it is only part of what wins races. You definatly should come out and try it. Garunteed youll be hooked.

Although they'd never really know it, it sounds like with the electronics, a hondata with their 3K RPM launch control would be something they wouldn't like you to have in the clash, heh.

That is not considered "Electronics" it is meereely a rev limiter. Electronics involve push button launches and throttle stops. Anything that automatically adjusts your cars speed to run in your dial.

Those aren't what they mean by "electronics",they mean driving aids like delay boxes but I do think you can use 2 step rev limiters.

I do know that tuning devices aren't under the "electronics" categorization.
I've been running a SAFC for over 4 seasons now.

Can I turn on my radio while I race?......I know that you can't use electronics...but will they really know?

Thats an unfair advantage listening to the announcer while you are racing B.

I think listaning to the annoucer is the biggest distraction,I did it once and didn't leave the line till the light got an even brighter green. :smashfrea

Then I get to hear the announcer dog me about my bad R/T.
