I know most of you do not drive VW's or Audi's, but if you enjoy competitve driving or are really good with R/C cars than this this DOES pertain to you! I am talking about Dubs Along the Rockies in Colorado Springs, and I hope some of you will consider coming down to take part in things!
Last year we added an autocross (open to anyone in any car) to our list of events and it was a very fun course with lots of cool people tearing it up. This year for our 5th anniversary we decided to get a little crazier than normal. We are going to do a 3 session autocross with 3 different courses, spread over 2 days, and that will include a NIGHT session on Saturday evening! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that everyone will be getting FIVE RUNS PER SESSION!!!!!
SCR Perforamnce, from Loveland, is also going to offer some private instruction between the Saturday sessions for those who would like a little advice on how to shave a few more tenths off their times. This will only be open to 10 people, so if you want to get in, get on it early. We plan to open registration on the 1st of March. Online registration will be required for the racing events by the way!
The prices will be as follows:
Complete 3 session series - $75, trophies for 1st and 2nd per class and one for best raw time.
Individual Sessions - $35 per session, not competing for trophies
Driving Instruction - $40 for 3 runs with crituque between each run. This wil take place on Saturday between the morning and evening session.
The dates of this event are going to be the 24th and 25th of June at World Arena in Colorado Springs, and as I stated above, we fully expect to have the online registration open on the 1st of March.
On top of the car show and autocross we are also going to be doing an R/C car skills contest (kind of like an autocross), slow drags (last one there wins), a swap meet, and our usual HUGE raffle that will have thousands of dollars worth of seriously cool stuff... oh and we will be raffling off a car too!
