Dude....anything is possible. Its just like a honda or anything else. You can build it and boost the shit out of it. You can make it fast, you can make it handle. Oh and BTW, it is a solid beam rear axle, so it probably handles like shit being stock.

My friend has a paseo that we got a custom manifold for. Stock engine with turbo (14G) = 180 whp. We rebuilt the engine w/ cp piston, rods and a port. We should have it ready to drive by monday. Note this is the same engine that is in your tercel. Just needs fluids, and some lines need replced. Beats a Celica GTS

You can drop a 1.3L turbo engine in the Tercel that makes it go pretty quick. you know you could google this and research it yourself.

Here's a Question, I've been waiting for! I love'd my Terdsmell! You can call Toy sport (www.toysport.com) in California, get a 1.3 turbo front clip from a Starlett in japan and swap basically everything into it for around $3500. Couple people I know have it done around here, Patrick and Barry. They don't handle as terrible as many people think, they share basically every dimension with the Paseo (other than body), so you can snag roll bars, springs and everything else for paseo's and put 'em on the 'smell (IE, go to the Junkyard, snag the front bar, the front seats which are much better, even the instrument cluster which has a tach in it and it's all plug and play just take out the old and put in the new!) . The stock 1.3 will handle over 20 Psi with out major mods or detonation, plus you get the bragging rights when you kick a WRX's ass with your little 1.3! Hit me up if you have any Q's.
