Anyone know about the R1 Racing coilovers? Heres the web link. I'm thinking about getting them they are only 129.95 :D http://www.speedpeople.com/cart/details.cfm?ItemID=135&ItemCode=CO-100c&ItemCode=CO-100c&return=http://www.speedpeople.com/shop/Suspension/Suspension.cfm

can't say for sure, haven't tried em, but i was planning on it since they are cheap but car had em already so....can't be too bad, better than cutting your springs

I just wanted to know because they sound a little cheap for a set of four coilovers.

A friend of mine ordered those too. We'll be installing them along with new shocks and a camber kit probably the weekend after this one. I will let you know then, if you haven't ordered already :)

I agree with FULLTHROTTLE, you get what you pay for. The site doesn't give any description other then "they're difficult to install". For me I could never be "cheap" with my car :) Ground Control sets are only $399 and well worth it from what I hear.

No way...you get what you get in this industry. I have had "cheap" coilovers on my ride for almost 3 years now...no problems. My hatch even rides better than a friends 2000 Si on Eibach/Ground-Controls, so get a spring set with lower spring rates than 500kg and a little over your stock rating. Higher the spring rate the more "bounce" you will get out of the car.

I've got H&R's, they are really nice. I would go with H&R over Eibach, but that's just personal preference. They are paired up With Koni Yellows. :)

The H & R's might make my car just as low on both sides. For some reason my passenger side rides higher. I have 99 Si Springs on my 94 civic sitting on tokico shocks.

I don't like coilovers unless they are integrated with the shock as well. Most of the normal coil-overs on the market are the exact same parts, so they're about the same quality. You'll get a better ride with some integrated one's, it's a little more expensive, but the headache of a car that rides poorly is terrible!

That's what i have on my ride is the R1 coilovers. I am riding on stock struts so it's a little bouncy but im sure if you got a nice set of struts then it wouldnt be so bumpy. I've only had them on for about a month but i havent had any compaints from others(passengers) that ride in my car.
