k, here we go.

the driverside mount on my GSR block was ripped out do to a wreck.

the threads were ripped out of all thee and on one of the hole there is a small crack.???????????????????

1. i've been told that you can fill and retap the holes

2. i do know to stop a crack you can drill threw it to stop it, but.

3. w 2. i was told to just heli coil it.

4. someone TREID to tell me that, the mount in question isn't important enough to worry about putting back in

just so we're clear this is the drivers mount in the middle of the T-belt

any suggestions?????????????????????????????

^^ HUH? I think the physical blot holes in the block are broken, not the mount itself. Heli-coils dont last in that spot. The best thing to do there is to weld the holes and redrill and tap them.

You definitely need that mount man. Take Tobi's advice there... I think you could look into timecerts... they work great for headstuds. Take it to a machine shop.

If you took it all apart maybe Pang could weld it up for you and I could do the machine work. Or you could bring it by and I can do the time cert deal but there will be no guarantee on the repair. I have seen too many of them fail in that spot.

I would need it to the point where I could put it in the drill press.
