problem with my cluster

when i turn on my cluster light sometime it turn on and sometime it turn off what could be the problem? i check all my fuse and most of the wire except behind my aircondition/ heat control unit.

could there be any other problem if it all checked out fine

the car is a honda 95 civc dx coupe

there's a short somewhere behind the cluster. remove the cluster and check the wires for short.If you have an extra set of cluster than try that one and see if it work. I'm pretty sure it is not the cluster but the wiring behind it.

when it doesn't turn on smack the top of the dash and see if it comes on... more than likely you have a loose connection somewhere...

Bulbs might be worn out/loose I had the same proablem with my Ac unit half of it would lite up but if I smacked the dash it was fine.

Probably the combo switch but I would need to look at it to be sure.

that's funny my 94 dx has the same issues


went out and got the combo switch, works fine now.

the other question is are all of your dash lights out or just your cluster?

like the climate control does it light up?

if so then more checking to be done than just the combo i would bet.
