I wanna new engine too. Next year I'm doing a low mileage JDM swap from a Lancer then thinking of really building up my original motor to handle at least 500 crank horse.

This is another B16 block... Yes, it is both, it has been sleeved and the blockguard is welded in. I think it was about $600 for the sleeving/honing etc. Not sure exactly though, I have a running tab and have just been paying it down. I will have the final bill with all the details when I get home.

Hey B16,
Saw your block before and after the machine shop...way nice. Hope you don't do something studid when you get back, cause I can't wait til the "new" turbo and 16 hit the track...
Peace,

Very nice. What pistons are you gonna put in? Rods??? And most importantly, are you doing any headwork? I have my Type R head chillen and I'm thinking portflow, but I just don't have the money to do it all yet.

It has Arias pistons and Eagle rods in it now... I did a minor port/polish on it a long time ago when I put it in, but that's it for now until I have more funds to do valves/springs. It has a CTR intake cam and a GSR exhaust cam for now.

Yeah I should be running at Salt Lake, probably going to be on the set up I have now, I don't think I will be able to get the new engine in in time. I'm gonna turn the boost up just a touch and hit a 13. You gonna be going?

Do you know if the 1st gen blocks are any different than the 2nd gen?

they are identical beside the code stamped in the front as far as the block itself goes
