Stock Rods, how strong are they?

I ask this question cause I wanna go with the Skunk2 II setup but I know they need to be reved to make their power.

I wanna build my head first cause I dont really want to dump money and downtime with the b16 block...

but again if I wanted to take it to 9k, I hear mixed things about stock rods...like they will strech or the only time the stock bottom end stuff becomes an issue is with huge hp applications...

I'm lucky to push at most 170ish hp I think...

Just use CTR rods and pistons, you'll be fine. Plus they'll raise your compression a bit (11:1 I think), so you'll get some more power.
