GM Ads will target Fuel Economy and Power

GM has gotten a lot of grief over its 2007 GMT900 platform, from the extent to which the company is relying on sales
of the vehicles to its “bug-eyed” design. Reading about it, however, it does have some remarkable technology. GM’s
Displacement on Demand, a technology that deactivates unnecessary cylinders so that the engine drinks up less fuel,
accounts for 21 estimated mpg on the highway. Not many full size SUVs can say that.

Apparently those words are GM’s thoughts exactly, as we find the company will be touting its fuel economy in addition
to its power in spots advertising the Chevy Tahoe. As one GM spokesperson said, the vehicle “has class-leading power
and class-leading fuel efficiency.”
