More VW Scirocco news and specs
<p><img src="http://media.autobild.de/bild/A/e0ed94599b94b7f07d7c72aa393b377a_1.jpg" alt="VW Scirocco" title="VW Scirocco" width="400"/><br />“Autobild” has a very nice story about the upcoming VW Scirocco, the people’s sports car, including some new high-res pictures.<br />The VW Scirocco will come 2008 with 4 engines first:<br />- 1.4-Liter-TSI, 140 bhp<br />- 1.4-Liter-TSI, 170 bhp<br />- 2.0-Liter-FSI-Turbo, 200 bhp<br />- 2.0-Liter-TDI, 170 bhp</p>
<p>It’s said that the 2.0 TDI will be already based on the common-rail technology, <a href="http://www.germancarblog.com/2005/10/volkswagen-switch-to-common-rail.html" >which will be introduced 2007</a>.</p>
<p>A VR6 engine will be available 2009, coming as a 3.2 FSI with 250 bhp and as a 3.6 FSI with 350 bhp.<br />Not clarified until now is the VW Scirocco R20, 2.0 with turbo or twincharger and 300 bhp, will really hit the road.<br />All models are said to come with 6-gear manual or DSG transmission.</p>
