I'm running rich so I just wanted to be sure on this. To adjust the JR fmu I disconnect the vac line and plug it, then I screw the hex bolt out until the fuel pressure reading stops dropping, then I screw it back in a little. Is this right? or can I screw the bolt out all the way out until it's almost falling out?

i dunno. Did your CEL stay out? I didnt get a chance to talk to you the other day when you came by to pick it up. Is everything going ok?

Hey Tobi, yeah I missed you the other day. So the o2 sensor wasn't bad huh, just a short somewhere? We'll so far I haven't thrown a cel, and it's been running good. I just have the old metal pulley and it's starting to wear out so I think i'm ready to go up to the 10lb pulley ( hint hint Brian ;) )

They dint tell you what I did? what a bunch of fags. Our service personel suck. You had a broken wire at the intake temp sensor. I fixed it problem solved.

Tobi, my car even with the JR map controller is running weird sometimes. Its running rich, but seems to pull timing when I DECELERATE from say 10 vacuum to 20 vacuum and take the foot off the gas. That's opposite of what it was doing before I got the JR Map controller installed. Maybe one of my wires is fucked or maybe there is a vacuum leak somewhere, I dunno.
Also, If I go WOT boosting at low RPMs, regardless of gear (anything below say 4500 RPMs) and I throw a CEL 13 (Bad Barometer/ecu). Is that causing my weird problem above? Is there any way to fix this problem, or does it have something to do with our altitude? I didn't get this until I installed the map controller.
I'm up for my 30K mile tuneup here very soon, and since I bought my car where you work, can I request that you work on it if I bring it in someday? Maybe run some diagnostics on it too? I'd like this car to run like it was brand new again, with the added JRSC power but something tells me that will never happen again. Also, would you be able to put a 10 PSI pulley on the blower for me?
Let me know.

The reason the code 13 is setting is because whent he ECM reads WOT, it does a check to see that the Baro and the MAP are at the same voltage. This little check is courtesy of our friends at the AIR safety board and EPA. When the ECM sees that the voltages are not the same due to the MAP controller Im guessing, it sets the code. I am not entirely sure how to remedy this but I bet Brian has some handy info. As far as the other stuff I can help you with that no problem. And yes you can request me as your tech if you bring it in.

At this altitude there is really no remedy for it. My car throws the dsame code and so does Brians. People at sealevel dont experience this from what I understand because that is what the map controller is setup for. That is also why it makes the car run so rich up here. I think at least......

Basically JR set the correction factor for sea level. Our ecu reads and compares those numbers under WOT and then throws a code because it see's far too much manifold pressure. Zip tells me that the EBL and UFC don't have this problem, but for now I just live with it and know that my motor is safe :)

i bet i'm running rich, cause my car smells like a gas station when it idles. This is probably cause i came from sea level and never adjusted anything when i got up here.

Today was a hot day, especially with boost temperatures. I heard detonation with the A/C on at partial throttle boost, so I richened it up a bit with the V-AFC from inside the car. Even WOT boost was pinging a tad bit. I'm wondering if maybe I should bump the fuel pressure up a bit? Right now it's running completely advanced timing on 91 octane. I opened the hood to check the temps, and even the CAI was pretty warm throughout, getting hotter as it got closer to the TB. It kindof sucks that the JR kit is altitude and temperature dependant, meaning I can run it pretty lean during the cold winter months and not have a problem, but when it gets around 60* outside or warmer, I have to richen it up quite a bit and lose power. :(

wow I am suprised you are seeing detonation. Even with my A/C on I was not getting any detonation at partial throttle even going up hill today. I would try to raise the fuel pressure just a bit if I were you.....

yeah, I'll probably do that. I think I may have put it too low when I got the map controller, thinking the richness was causing the code 13 CEL.
