The Fiat Hummer?

Fiat is unveiling this Hummer-like concept at the Bologna Motor Show this week. Based on the Fiat-Iveco Light
Multirole Vehicle that will be used by the armies of Great Britain and Italy, the ?Oltre Fiat? has all the rugged
attributes of the military version, plus the bling of a show car.

Underneath, it?s all military: full-time 4WD with three locking differentials, 20-inch ground clearance, fully
independent suspension with coil-over shocks, six-speed automatic transmission, and Iveco?s 3-liter, 4-cylinder
common-rail diesel powerplant. Good enough to climb an 80 percent grade and hit a top speed of 130 kph.

The stout 7.7 ton (that?s not a typo!) vehicle has a payload capacity near 3.5 tons, and will seat 4 or 5, depending on
configuration.

That sure as hell don't look like 20" of clearance. It's also ugly as hell!!

7.7 tons and it has a 4cyl diesel. Hope that thing puts out lots of torque!
