My friend works up at Mile high honda and they had a new Civic SI up there. The exterior IMO is pretty ugly. It looks just like a focus and they have i-vtec all big on the sides which I didn't really like. Also the engine bay looks really, really crammed. The hood is tiny. I must admit that the interior is pretty nice. The seats are nice and supportive and it had a nice brushed aluminum in there. Also the shifter is pretty bad ass. It look like fun to drive. A kid said there said that it was a pretty quick little car but I don't think it's any faster than the old SI's. Overall I like the interior and it probobly has decent power but it's just plain ugly on the outside.

I agree, we got ours in today and first impressios are the exterior is too much like a focus, not enough like a CTR. Dont like the lights, love the interior and seats. love the three cupholders in the front seat. I think the ca rwill look amazing lowered with wheels, a triple decker fridge door wing, neon tubing, white fiberglass body kit... oh wait a minute, It looks good the way it is.
(Geez, how come nobody tried to stop me?)

The car tests i've seen put it quite a bit slower than the 99-00 SI's. Glad I got one before they got beat with the ugly slow stick :D

I have to go see one in perosn. They could look decent with a lowering job and some wheels I think, but that engine needs some help.

Nothing a K20A2 swap and a few bolt ons wont cure. (By the way, thats a RSX-S engine.)

we got one in yesterday... damn it's ugly.. looks just like a damn focus... the only thing that impressed me was the seats, nothing else did any justice to the honda name.... sorry guys, but the test drive told me it is slower than the 99-00 si coupe.. not too impressed at all.esp for handling .. felt like a DAMN BUICK.. NEXT TO THE COUPE SI'S
honda needs the old suspension,it's the only way to go

I resent that Buick comment :)

I think it was Road&Track just tested the new crop of "thrash compactors" and they squeezed a 15.8 out of an Si. That's just a tad slower than the previous Si and they might be quicker once they have some break in miles on them.

They also said how it felt slower than the previous SI and it took last in pretty much all of their tests.

I thought the test I saw said it couldn't even get out of the 16's...I will look at work at which mag it was. They still need soem visual help:D

I'm not sure it was Road&Track but I know one of the bigger car rags got a solid 15 out of one. Remember that these cars may only have a few hundred miles on them when tested so the mags that get to test it later might pull much better times.

and whats up with the gay redline? It's a honda you shouldn't have to shift at 6500 rpm ;gay;

That was the most shocking thing I read about the car. Even my DSM revs to 7500.

hey now my car redlines at 6500, so did my last one, it sucks shifting so often *need motor swap* that k20a2 would make a nice conversion in the si

eh, I haven't like any hondas that have been put out since 00, but that's just me.
Don't loose all hope though, hasport just got their project si in so maybe we'll start seeing some ways to replace that crappy motor in it now.
IMO that shifter is fucking retarded, again, just me though.

I was looking at part numbers yesterday and it looks like the crv block will bolt up quite esily to the new civ head. Making it a
CRiVTEC hybrid. 2.4 liter style. Maybe I should get to work on that.

Great seats and IMO looks much better than a Focus even if thay are similar.

I want the seats in my car. The fabric matches exactly and they're much more supportive.

Tobi, can you get a deal on them?
