We received a tip from Greg who runs a Russian website called Car
Design.ru that a Moscow-based company called Russian Auto Design (RAD) is working on a mid-engine sports car called
the Nebo, which is Russian for ?Sky?. The vehicle?s weight will be in the range of 1,875 lbs. to 1,985 lbs. and two
engines will be [...]

Wow.. it's got SHITTY horsepower #'s, and the wheels look like something off a Honda. The design is horrid too.. looks like a 9th grader designed it. Literally, it looks like they took some sheet metal and taped it all together, then put a nice paint job on it.

The vehicle weight is making up for a lot of what it lacks in power. Looks like it would be similar to offerings from lotus.

I did notice the weight of the vehicle, but I still think they could have done a bit better with the numbers. Just my $.02

At 94 and 125 hp, it's still pretty gutless, even if it only weighs 1900 lbs. That's 20.2 and 15.2 lbs/hp. That means their "performance" model is about as fast as a stock GS-R, *yawn*. My car is around 8 lbs/hp on only medium boost (9 psi).

I agree they are still underpowered, just not AS bad because of the weight. Does russia really even have any cars in the market right now?

If they do, it's news to me.

maybe it's just me, but that doesn't look mid-engined. way to much front end to be a mid-engine car

that zhiguli seem to be riced out in Bulgaria, Leo :)
anyway, Stu is right, a '91 nsx is ten times more beautiful than '05 prototype of a Russian sports car... i hate the fact that russia has lots of talented engineers and inventors, yet all models that hit production are the worst nightmare, both by looks and by performance...
Does russia really even have any cars in the market right now?
they do, only it's not an international market. overseas Russia sell maybe only a couple of models, and those are available in UK, Brazil and Canada (not sure about last two). other countries don't seem to accept them for ecological reasons. inside of russia there are about 5-7 big car production brands.
