there's a bunch of threads going onthe xbox 360 forums (no not the microsoft site), forumes like xbox-scene.com etc.. that already have plenty of posts about users having major issues with the box and constant freezing up/crashing during the games being played. Some users can't even turn on their xbox as they have some hardware error right out of the box.

Microsoft already released a press statement that the breakage rate was about 1 in 20 x360's.. This has already been going on full-steam since the release of the x360. I dont think it has affected as many people to be deemed news worthy, but enough that MS has been overnight shipping all their jacked up xbox's back for repair and back. But there's enough ppl to of made me happy I didn't bother with the first produciton run.

The power supply has been a huge cluprit for a lot of people as it has been overheating itself, not exploding, just overheating and causing the x360's to crash. This isn't the only problem of course, but a lot of people have gotten around the power source issue by removing it's case it letting it sit flat upside down on a rigged up support to get air running all around it to help cool. Some even have put big fans blowing on it to help. I'm sure the next batch of x360's will most likely have a different power supply design.

I'm actually suprised they didn't catch such a widespread issue on their testing...

OK... I'm not reading all that about a issue that doesn't really concern me. :D

Not my STI. :D

I was thinking more along the lines of the people who bought XBOX360s on ebay and not getting a receipt. They are unable to return the item if it breaks. Har har, sux2bthem.
