Sorry for the loss. Makes me want to get out of the car scene. What's the point in puting so much time/effort/money/blood/sweat/tears into something just to have it taken from you or always having to worry about it being taken from you? I'll most deffinatley keep my eyes open. Hope you recover it intact.

Car was recovered (partially stripped) and insurance is fixing it. Thanks again for the sympathy, guys.
Part to look for:
17X7.5 VOLK TE37 in bronze, 5x100 +48/ Kumho 712s 225/17r45 (with black Rays lugnuts)
Prodrive headlights (only ones in the state not modded for HID)
Omori 60mm gauges, EGT (damage to face), oil pressure, oil temp
Hyperflow TMIC with wear marks along the top edge weld
HKS type-0 turbotimer
and if the person who stole it is on this board:
You stole some pretty distinctive parts. I'd disappear if I were you.

damn we're cracking down on thieves now good job guys. A good thing to do is to keep the manufacturs numbers I'm sure most of them are different for different model. Make it harder for thieves to sell that stuff. Counldn't you report that those parts were stolen from you to the police? I remember there was a special on the news about bikes being stolen in the boulder area and they caught the guy by ebay since the linked all the part number to all the owners.

I would definetly get proof before i go out opening a can of whoop ass on someone. And posting here on an open forum doesnt help either. There's alot of people who browse these boards, including theives, you should've just tried to win the auction and arrange a meeting with him to see if it was actually yours.

Actually, all of the STi parts were bought, the Honda and Acura consoles (and the single Evo headlight) sold.
Perhaps the wagon was picked up for parts, but the rims were too unique???
So, then... go to Aurora. Find a guy with a WRX sedan and a cheap girlfriend who wears terrible clothes, and...
...I guess that doesn't narrow it down far enough...
I wonder what E-bay's reaction would be if they were served with a subpeona...

That's a good front for a thief, but it's also possible that someone else is taking these cars or parts to him. The good news is that we know where these parts are ending up. Now we just need to figure out how they are getting there...

The red hardtop S2000 is mine..... And i dont work there i just buy parts there alot. That yard is owned by two people, it has been there for a little over a year and cops have gone there several times just to do random inspections and have never found anything illegal. That yard is squeeky clean and so are all the people who work there. Granted that wheel fitment is rare, you dont know for sure you had the only gold volks in the state.... And he has the original boxes for them..... So were the boxes for your wheels in your car at the time it was stolen???? It seems like every time something is stolen some of the members of this site find one person who has one thing the same as what was on there car and KNOWS FOR A FACT it was them. This is not how things work, or how things get solved. Did you have no tires on your car or what?????? Why would he take them off unless they were really bald already.

Hey jdms2000 , It doesn't look good that there are two theft threads you are in and you keep sticking up for these people . Not saying you had anything to do with them but it just seems wierd. I understand what you are saying about jumping to conclusion but this just sounds way too fishy.

i think it is quote clear that more than 1 theif lurks on this site. the junkyard theif certainly does. how ironic out or thousands of ebay auctions and suddenly a set of wheels that was just won matching the description to a tee ends up stolen before the transaction takes place. umm yea he knew they were hot!!! as for the tires, im sure any junkyard has ready access to a tire busting machine, why not take the tires off? its a lot easier to hide where they came from, besides if they are in good shape it would be another good ebay auction or they could be remounted on another set of rims. if they are in bad shape they might get thrown away.
and now we have an alibi with 10 posts on the site backing up the story. give me a f-ing break!
i think someone needs to get the cops involved and fast. did anyone check to see if the junkyard filed a police report for the theft of the wheels? i think not.
wake up people!

You're a douchebag. Why would he take the tires off? Well, for one.. the wheels are already rare, if he had tires on them, that's one more thing for the owner to indentify them as his. He has the boxes? Yeah, I bet.
I'll tell you what.. go do a ton of shit to your S2K, get it stolen, then we'll bitch about you saying "I found a hardtop off of my car, red, in Colorado being sold", or whatever the fuck it is.

im willing to lay money that says that junk yard has some shady vin numbers in it.
its no secrit that when cars are stolen and stripped they will often wind up in a junk yard with a salvage title.
it's no secrit that when this happens people will buy the car and repair it. the shady part becomes obvious when the same parts that went missing while stolen magically appear on the car with matching vins.
just because the S2000 guy has a civic thats mostly complete and has a salvage title doesnt mean it was salvaged because it was a total wreck.
i guarentee you this clown is as shady as it gets.
many of the cars in that yard i am sure are all salvage titles but i bet if you look into the history you will find a lot of them were salvaged from insurance claims where the car was stolen, stripped and then auctioned to salvage.
a salvage yard is a perfect front. you have a group of guys that steal cars, strip them. then wait for the insurance claim. buy them back for next to nothing, reassemble them and sell them with salvage titles.
if the carcass of the car doesnt make it to the salvage yard they still have a lot of parts they can sell on ebay. if they strip it well enough the vin number will always wind up as a salvage title in the end and not stolen property anymore.
if i was investigating this case and i would have a fing raid on that yard asap!

What are you gonna do??????? I understand what its like to have a car stolen, and i know how nerve racking it can be. But if you read my latter posts on the integra i came back and said that i could be wrong. And all of you seem to be sure of this so fuck it. And who ever said that the parts wont be stolen property if the vehicle is salvaged and rebuilt with the same parts is a god damn idiot. Thats not how things work. And i dont give a fuck how it seems, i will stick up for my friends until the end....... And if i ever found out that they were into this type of shit i would not speak to them anymore. Your right its weird that the wheels are the same fitment, but its not a 100% surety. All of you guys who talk about going and beating all these people, i wish i could be there when you go to the yard on 58th which by the way is owned by a couple of russian guys and try anything. We're going to laugh our asses off when your "friends" end up in prison, where they belong. And if one of them manages to get himself shot while trying to rip someone off, we'll laugh even harder.

Well, then I guess you wont be talking to them anymore, seeing as how one of them has been arrested for it, and several independant sources say that the others were involved in it as well. So, either you are choosing to be ignorant and turn a blind eye to what your "friends" are doing, or you're just full of crap.
Your right its weird that the wheels are the same fitment, but its not a 100% surety.
Yeah, what a coincidence... someone has their car stolen and parts matching it's exact description, complete with unique scratches, end up being sold by someone that you know. I never would have guessed!

That's funny... people are just talking about informing the police of this, and you see the need to make threats. Why would someone be afraid of two Russian guys? And while we're on the subject, if they're really Russian, why would they name the place "Amigos Import Parts"?

It's a real clever way of doing business. Not honest, but clever.
Bump! I wanna know when the thief gets pwnt. Keep us posted.

Just to inform you those wheels have alot of Colorado history and a few noticeable scratches from previous owners. The buyer listed all of the same scratches and showed pictures of them... just my $.02 though...
