I know this isn't performance related but I figured I'd ask Tobi since this is the type of thing you probably see when you start dealing with sheer numbers of cars.
On 3 current cars, 2 CRXs and a 92 Civic occasionally at night when I turn the turn signal on the lights inside the car brighten for probably about the amount of time the lever goes from middle to up or down, while it is in that unclicked state. Hopefully that makes sense. Once the signal is on it doesn't happen, it may correlate with the first blink it is really hard to say.
I can't reproduce it on command.
I really notice it on the clock, it is always like wtf was that, but you aren't REALLY sure anything happened or if you are just crazy / blinked / whatever.
Seems to happen more on cold/wet nights I think, but I'm not sure, and seems to do it more on the first or second turn signal use. Same thing on 3 different cars so I figured I'd ask cause if 3 of my 5 or 6 have it I would bet you've seen it before.
I have other combo switches I could swap in but since its an intermittent thing I'm not sure I would know if it was fixed or not right away. I would guess it is either the switch or some short or something in the wiring somewhere. Not sure why it brightens all the interior lights though.
I know you can't diagnose over the internet so if you haven't seen it before don't worry about it, just figured maybe it is a somewhat common thing.
Thoughts?
