Well this morning I decided to turn the boost up from 10psi to 15 now that the motor is fully broken in. I spent about an hour trying to dial it in but it just wasn't happening. Everytime I'd try to lean it out all it would do is knock. Went back to the house for a while afterwards and did some cosmetic interior work...
This afternoon I pumped out the 93.5 I had been using and put some 104 in. OMG this sucker moves.... After that little rush I decided 15 wasn't enough so I turned it up to 22psi. Ok going from 30mph to 80mph in about 3 seconds is not right but it felt good :eek: .
As I'm making my way back home my brakes are squeeking like mad so I"m assuming their gone. Pulled into the garage and i had a huge cloud of smoke come out of the front left and right wheel wells. From the smell it was definately brakes. Turned on a light and the brake pads are completely worn out and sizzling (anyone want some brat's?).
Next weekends project is the install of my KYB adjustables and eibach springs...
