I have a 1998 Passport with a V6 engine but the manufacture is Isuzu I believe. Anyway it has been sucking down oil for some time now like a quart every couple of weeks. I am getting close to 100K and don't know how much longer it will last. These motors from what I understand always crap out. If this one dies on me can it be rebuilt and maybe handle some forced induction ie. supercharger or turbo which ever is better? Also what might I have to do at 100k to keep it running as long as I can? And at what costs? 'burnout: As well the rear axle seal has leaked some grease out onto the Caliper and dust sheild. The book I have says it has to go to a machine shop to have that fixed can you do it?

There is a supercharger kit out there for those engines. Google should give you a result. There was a guy who was thinking of boosting (like low boost on stock internals) a Rodeo/Passport V6 with custom manifolds and turbos. Just some info for you.

:( I thought this was going to be a thread about putting your legs behind your neck or something.

You really dont want to go down the FI road with that engine. They cost more to rebuild than the vehicle is worth. And yes at about 100k they start to burn/leak oil. Your best bet is to take it to honndastuff and have them swap in a used engine. The rear axle seals I can fix, you dont need a machine shop for that.

Thankz for the info I read the book on the rear axle seal and it tells you how to pull it then it says take this to a machine shop th have fixed :ring: Is the motor not capable of reliable boost? I guess I will see how long the shitbox will last me. Maybe sell it before it's too bad then buy something else.
