Is there some good proformance for an 86 GTI? and is there any possible engine swaps? Thanks

But on the other hand...No there is nothing you can do to that car. It is a complete waste of time and you should sell it to me :)

Swap a 1.8t and VR6 in there

but Yes www.vwvortex.com would be the best

You can stay in the same generation and put a 16 valve with some cams for some power. The ol' 8 valve doesnt have much for go-fast parts available. Chek out techtonicstuning for parts if you dont want to do a swap.

there are some turbo kits that make ok power with out tearing in to the motor
