Which would you do first. Intercool the JRSC and get only pistons.

Stroke the engine to 2.0L running the same 10 psi I am now. (it comes with crower rods and je pistons so I could crank the boost up after I save for an intercooler.

Intercool, the engine would love that and bringing down the temp is always a plus when having a boosted car. It might take a little more work but your gonna need it sonner or later for 300 hp that will last :)

stroke it to a 2.0. At 2.0 the car will be crazy fast and then you can work on the IC. Just think how much power those B20Vtecs are making with boost.

I've talked to a couple of guys who went the 2.0L route and lost power. Apparently the blower was making a fair amount less boost (which coincides with Daves statements in the other thread).

I'd stick to the 1.8 Idea. Maybe run a B18C1 bottom end...

Do the IC first. You'll end up buying one eventually.

See how far you can push the envelope on the stock motor. When you find the limit, do the bottom end. Then you'll have a reason to.

IC 1st cuz going 2.0 you need to get it tuned to run optimum
so by the time that comes you'll have an IC and stroked so everything is ready to be tuned

I say intercool it, I havn't ever seen one, but I have seen boosted B20's... You want to be different? Make your own intercooler, then you could sell it as a "kit" on HAI and pay for your project with the profits... now that's what I'm talkin about!:drink:

I talked to the turbo place in Golden. I can't remember if i've told you or not yet. But they will make the pipes if you give them the specs, but they won't spend the time to measure the bends and stuff for you. They recommended Paragon if you need someone to find out the angles of the bends.
